Mow Cop Chapel Museum

Victorian Wesleyan chapel (1852) containing exhibitions illustrating the social, industrial and religious history of Mow Cop and district.

It is with regret that we confirm the closure of the Methodist museum at Mow Cop (which was a private concern). Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum has received some of the collection.

There is also a collection of Primitive Methodist banners and ceramics at Mow Cop Chapel, Primitive Street, Mow Cop.

Visitors should contact in advance 01782 516936 for a visit to Mow Cop Chapel. If a visit is combined with Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum, then preliminary advance contact for both sites should be made with Englesea Brook on 01270 820836.
