Christ Church, Macclesfield

Chapel-style Church of England church built in 1775 –6 for John Wesley's preaching and the evangelical ministry of the Revd David Simpson.

Ann Cutler (1759-94), a travelling Methodist evangelist known as 'Praying Nanny', is buried here. Ann was noted for her simple lifestyle and powerful prayer ministry.
