Kilham Memorial Church

Kilham Memorial Chapel was opened in 1860 as a monumental memorial to the founder of the Methodist New Connexion, Alexander Kilham, who was born in Epworth in 1762.

It replaced the former Providence Methodist New Connexion Chapel, now used for commercial purposes. The Methodist New Connexion was one of the 19th century movements or denominations, which divided Methodism.
